ZUK Edge apparently, appears to share the same design philosophy wherein the minimal bezels can be seen in the front of the smartphone. In fact, the Lenovo owned brand has already confirmed the existence of the ZUK Edge and has announced that it will lock heads with the Xiaomi Mi Mix. This makes us believe that the smartphone has been in the making for quite some time now, and ZUK was aware of Xiaomi developing a similar device. That said, the ZUK Edge is more like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, due to its dual curved display. After initial round of leaked images, the ZUK Edge has now made an appearance on Antutu benchmark, thereby revealing a large part of its specs sheet. The benchmark listing shows a smartphone with a codename Z2151 sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 quad core chip clocked at 2.5GHz each. Apart from that it has a 1920x1080p display, 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. With this power packed internal, the ZUK Edge succeeded to score around 1,60,000 on the popular benchmarking app. The display size of the smartphone however, hasn’t been revealed in the listing.
Talking of cameras, the ZUK Edge is said to sport a 13MP rear shooter. This is accompanied by an 8MP front facing selfie snapper. As expected, the details of the camera sensors or aperture hasn’t been revealed in the benchmark. That said, it’s worth noting that the ZUK Edge which was spotted on the Antutu Benchmark runs on Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box. It would be interesting to see whether the smartphone runs on stock Android or on company’s own ZUI interface. Apparently, ZUK uses stock Android only in phones they sell outside China.
Initial rumours suggest that the ZUK Edge will also come in a 4GB RAM variant, alongside the 6GB one which hit the benchmark. As expected, the lower RAM variant would come cheap at 2999 Yuan (Rs 29,657 approx.) while the 6GB RAM model would go as high as 3699 Yuan (Rs 36,581 approx.) It however, would be interesting to see whether ZUK plans to bring this new device to its international markets including India.
